DT Spotlight - Leanne

Today's spotlight is from Leanne of  Finding my Groove!

Hello everyone!

For June I have a fun sea themed calendar page.  I always consider June a summer month and what better way to celebrate summer than under the sea?  I chose to use the adorable Narwhal and paired it up with that paper that contains some of the colors of the sea.  As you can see I also colored and fussy cut the image out.  When you think of June what do you think of?

I hope you enjoyed my post for June and found a little inspiration too.  Make sure to head over to the KBD etsy store for more fun images to play with.  Have a fabulous June everyone!

Until next time!!

So cute.  Love the paper and the colors... and how you colored up that little narwhal too!!  Make sure you swing by Leanne's blog and see what else she's up to!!

DT Spotlight - Peggie Sue

Howdy pals!  Todayʻs spotlight is brought to us by Peggie Sue of Maxx & Boo!!

Hello again friends! Peggie Sue of Maxx & Boo here. So happy you have stopped by to see my little slice of happiness to hopefully serve as inspiration for this weeks challenge. We've asked to see ocean or water animals. I decided to share a little Narwhal Love. I made a spinner card using circle dies, a penny and lots of foam tape. I first saw this great card on Pinterest - originally created by Yainea. It was perfect for this week and I knew I had to put my "spin" on it! lol You can see all the deets (with links) at  Maxx & Boo.  Have a great week everyone!

Too cute.  Defintely swing by Peggie sueʻs blog  to say hello and see how she made this spinner card!!

DT Spotlight - Mari

Today's spotlight is brought to us by Mari of Me and My Crazy Family!

Today I am sharing a card I made with another great new image from Kitty Bee Designs. It's Narwhal 3. My son thinks Narwhals are really cool ( I had to google them, ha!). I was going to make this a card for him, but then I had this new Doodlebug paper pad sitting on my desk and was just dying to use it, so I went girly instead! Don't worry, I still plan on making something for him too.  I colored the Narwhal with my Spectrum Noirs  and added a little bit of glossy accents.

Mari this Narwhal is just too cute!  I love how she stands out against that super cute gray background... just adorable!!  Make sure you swing by Mari's blog and see what her son's narwhal ends up looking like!!

DT Spotlight - Leanne

Hey everyone!
Happy September 1st!!  Today is the first Monday of the month which means spotlight time.  It also happens to be holiday for us in the USA, it's Labor Day!  Woo Hoo!!  A well deserved one me thinks.   Have you gone through our Halloween blog hop yet?  If you have terrific, hopefully you've left comments on everyone's blog.  If not, you have some time left, the hop ends on 9/7 and we'll announce the winners on 9/9.  Click HERE to get started.

Now let's get on with my spotlight for today.  If you haven't already noticed, owner and illustrator, Ruth Johnson not only created some adorably cute images for Halloween and Christmas, but she added some awesome sea animals to the mix!!  I am so excited to share one of the new sea animals today, as it was one that I specifically asked for.  She did an awesome job putting her cuteness stamp on this digi...  This is my card featuring Narwhal Love I...

Cute yah?  I love how squishy they turned out.  This is actually one image that I printed out two more times in different sizes.  For fun I used different colors on these guys.  To create the sea I used Distress inks, an embossing folder, a wave border die, Stickles and some Perlen liquid. The wave border was layered on the bottom and one of the narwhals fit perfectly inside it.  Using the Perlen pen gives these guys the wet look I was going for.  Love that stuff!

There are two more narwhals in the store as well as some cute sea honus (turtles) you can pick up. Don't forget in honor of Labor Day, Ruth is offering up the following coupon code:
  • 15% off coupon, use code 'Labor15' at check out
  • Offer good between 8/29 and 9/5
  • Can be used on your purchase for both clear and digital stamps
  • **Customers who spend $50 or more get a Mahalo (thank you) coupon for 20% off a future order. (Mahalo coupon expires 9/30)
Now's your opportunity to stock up on some really adorable Halloween, Christmas and sea animal images!  Head on over to the Etsy shop now...

Alrighty, thanks a lot for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day!
