WOW - September already!  Fall is in the air and this is my favorite time of the year.  The leaves have started to change and some are already starting to drop.  It's so pretty outside!!!  For my DT Spotlight this month I didn't really use Fall colors...but it is an image that makes me smile just like this time of year does...and so I made a fun card that is already on it's way to hopefully make someone else smile!  Isn't "Top Hat Penguin" adorable??!!!  There are all sorts of new digis in the Kitty Bee Etsy store so pop on over and take a look....but be prepared....you'll want them all!!!  Enjoy your Saturday!!!

DT Spotlight - Mari

I made this really fun lever card with this adorable image. I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers and made the patterned paper on my Silhouette, added a little baker's twine and a simple sentiment. I love how it turned out! Now I just have to decide who to send it to.

DT Spotlight - TraceyMo

This is the lovely butterfly bear, I have gone for lilac this time. Coloured her with lilac & yellow tones in copics. Matted this on in a pearl card which I have embossed with a butterfly folder. Then on to butterfly paper & the base in flower card. The other extras are the flowers,butterfly,sentiment & the satin bow. You can get this image & many more from the store here.

Now let's get on with my spotlight for today.  If you haven't already noticed, owner and illustrator, Ruth Johnson not only created some adorably cute images for Halloween and Christmas, but she added some awesome sea animals to the mix!!  I am so excited to share one of the new sea animals today, as it was one that I specifically asked for.  She did an awesome job putting her cuteness stamp on this digi...  This is my card featuring Narwhal Love I...

  

Cute yah?  I love how squishy they turned out.  This is actually one image that I printed out two more times in different sizes.  For fun I used different colors on these guys.  To create the sea I used Distress inks, an embossing folder, a wave border die, Stickles and some Perlen liquid. The wave border was layered on the bottom and one of the narwhals fit perfectly inside it.  Using the Perlen pen gives these guys the wet look I was going for.  Love that stuff!
